Cheating has been going on for thousands of years.

It’s a practice that everyone else does but not you and especially not your parents, right??? But what if, just what if you found out that your mother or father was cheating on one another. What do you do, what do you say???

If You Know Your Parents Are Cheating On Each Other, What Do You Do???

This is the most difficult decision any son or daughter could possibly have. After all, our parents are perfect. They are our Superman and Wonder-woman in life. They are the one’s who taught us right from wrong, good from bad, good from evil. They have given us everything and shared it with us. And they have taught us what we should and shouldn’t do… then why to the do something that could ultimately ruin their lives as well as their sons or daughters…

I was faced with a very difficult question one day when a client of mine who confided in me asked me for some advice. She was devastated. She told me that she saw her father with another woman, they were at an upscale lounge in the Back Bay of Boston area. She had worked late and just coincidentally stopped by the same lounge for a late night nightcap. She couldn’t believe that this was happening to her and certainly didn’t want to believe that he could do such a thing. The final act was when she saw them kissing each other, Her father paid the tab and they walked into the front and went into the elevator together. (the lounge was in a hotel).

Your Parents Are Cheating On Each Other.

What do I do she asked… I love them so much, they have been together for 30 years and always seemed so happy. If I told my mother she would be devastated divorce him and l would have to live with that for the rest of my life…

If I didn’t tell her then every time I saw them I would be devastated and couldn’t face them, I just don’t know what to do.

So, what would you do?

The thoughts of either one of your parents cheating on one another is bad enough but the reality of actually seeing one of them blatantly cheating is devastating.

Truth of the matter is there are three sides to every story,

For me, my advice is that this is a no win scenario…

A) If you don’t tell you mother then your father has his cake and eats it too.

B) If you do tell your mother it will most likely destroy a 30 year relationship that was built and now will crumble.

C) If you don’t say anything, you will have to play the charade and act like it never happened and let life go on.

This choice is yours and yours alone to decide.

This was a very difficult article to write because no one really wins.

I want you all to know that the best way to avoid all of this is to keep your  lines of communication open with each other through your relationship. Remember, you are in this together and if you truly love someone then there is always a way to fix it, even if it’s getting a mutual divorce.

Think before you move forward with an irrational decision that could ultimately ruin your life and the people you love.
